Enclosed AC Relay System for Air Assist/ Exhaust Fans

Do you have an AC wall outlet powered Air Pump that feeds your laser’s air assist?  What about an exhaust fan?  Tired of having to plug it in before starting every job, or worse, forgetting to plug it in and wasting material and risking your safety as a result?

The Cohesion3D LaserBoard has direct outputs for air assist control that can drive relays, solenoids, and SSR’s, but even we don’t want to touch any of that and fiddle with high voltage AC wiring!

This is a completely enclosed relay system! You never have to mess with any high voltage wiring – just plug it into the wall outlet, and plug your air pump into the “normally off” port.   Run 2 wires from the green signal input screw terminal on this unit to the the 2 pin header on LaserBoard called “5v Air Signal” and now you can control your air assist from your board and in LightBurn.

You can also use this to control an exhaust fan that you can turn on when the job starts and off when the job ends or manually control it with Macro Buttons in LightBurn.

The LaserBoard only has one “neatly presented” output for air assist, but with a bit of extra wiring, you can tap into an extra pin available on an expansion header for controlling exhaust fans and other peripherals.

It is also compatible with other Cohesion3D boards and other devices that output a 3.3v – 5v signal, contact us via the forum so we can help you with setup.

To sum up, here are the possible use cases:

• Control an air assist that is powered by an AC pump.  Wire this relay to the “5v Air Signal” output on LaserBoard
• Control an AC exhaust fan.  Configure it to turn on when the job starts and off when the job ends or manually control it with Macro Buttons in LightBurn.
• Get 2 of our relay systems and do both.  You’ll need to do a little extra wiring and configuring to connect the second one.

This unit is only capable of operating at 110v, so we are only able to ship it to the USA at this time.  This product includes the relay module, AC power cord, and the short red and black cable to connect to LaserBoard Air Assist header.  You may need to extend these wires if you want to position the relay farther away from the LaserBoard.
